Description
This is an oil on wood panel painting of a forest with some long abandoned structures falling slowly into ruin. I largely used a palet knife to paint this, a palet knife is harder to control than a paintbrush but that can also make the painting a good bit freer and more expressive. It is great for capturing the atmosphere of the woods in autumn with the light starting to fade in early evening.
The painting also contains a small bleed area that the framer can cut off as needs to make it easier to frame.
