Description
Slyne Head is a remote spot off the West Coast of Ireland, it has served the area for nearly 200 years and gathered plenty of history along the way. The unusual black colour was not the original colour of the lighthouse, which was changed in the late 1800’s. This lighthouse along with one positioned on Eagle Island gave boaters a clear lead to clear the rocks and shoals in the waters. In the last 20 years, the lighthouse was changed to solar power.
This original watercolour painting was created on Fabriano Acquarello Grana Fina Cold Press 25% Cotton paper using various watercolours and white gouache.
