What I love when I paint is the freedom that my imagination gives me and the feeling that I am creating something that reflects my thoughts and sensitivity to the surrounding beauty of nature. My paintings do not provide clear answers. It is imagination combined with aesthetics that allow the recipient to reach deeper and answer the question of what the artist had in mind. But the artist does not give the answer on a platter. The answer lies with the recipient. I am inspired by the rawness of nature, which fits perfectly into the landscape of Ireland. I use various painting forms in my paintings. I am painting mainly with oil paint, but you will also see acrylic, cement, and structural plaster. I use a variety of techniques to create a more raw image. My paintings are unreal on canvas, but so real in the imagination. It's a subjective process of creating an image in your imagination.
