My art practice is a never ending journey of investigation, exploration and learning...
Here, I present you with work in a variety of mediums including watercolour, charcoal, oil on canvases and plaster pieces.
I enjoy painting from life and paint portraits directly in front of my subject in alla prima style. Living beside Malahide Estuary provides endless subject matter for plein air painting.
The plaster pieces are produced in my home studio where I cast seed heads and other botanical material in clay, mostly void of colour, these natural forms create a record of their texture and pattern to give a fossil like permanence to these wild plants.
