Fiona McKenna Art

Fiona McKenna is an Irish artist from Co. Tyrone, on the border between the north and south of Ireland - now living in Co. Meath.

Artist Statement:

My childhood home was full of traditional Irish music, a love of country life, and an appreciation for practical, hands-on making. In this atmosphere, I was encouraged to be creative, so many of my earliest memories are of drawing, and painting. I love spending time outdoors in nature: breathing in the fresh sea air, looking at the clouds and listening to the waves.

This collection of vibrant, original seascapes is inspired by the timeless beauty of sunsets, the dance of reflections and the movement of crashing, rolling waves. The expansive skies that stretch above and the waves that crash against the shore are full of inspiration.

These paintings are perfect for those who are drawn to uplifting colours and love spending time by the sea. I have used acrylics to capture this sense of energy and movement - the rich colours express feelings of positivity and joy.
