Joseph Mahon

Artist Joseph Mahon live in Co. Carlow.  I have been painting and making art since I was young. My style is impressionist using oil paints and acrylic paints depending on my subject or theme. My main interest is figurative art, but I like to paint landscapes as well. The Impressionists are a huge influence particularly Monet and Degas, as well as the old masters Rembrandt and Vermeer, also Matisse, Picasso and many others. I admire the fabulous artist Arthur Maderson, who can be described as a modern day Impressionist.

My inspiration comes from the everyday and people.
