Laura Dunne

Originally from Philadelphia, I now work out of my studio in Loughmore, Co. Tipperary, where inspiration is drawn from the ever changing yet always beautiful Irish landscape.

My paintings illustrate the emotions of life in Ireland and its breath taking landscapes.  Through colour and texture using mostly oils, I paint the landscape that brought me back to life .

The landscapes and semi abstract pieces work between the juxtaposition of smooth and soft as well as impasto, textured pieces.

I use still life paintings to personify fruit, illustrating situations in our lives; sometimes emotional but often humorous.
