    A wonderful and atmospheric painting. It is so well painted and beautifully framed. I am really pleased with it. The artist's name is Joan O'Connell and her work is available on the art4you.ie website under the name Oldtown Art. This is a lovely website to buy from.

Joan O'Connell is a self-taught acrylic painter and has exhibited and sold work in London and Ireland.  She has recently started to explore acrylic pour paint techniques and how the application of layers of paint can enhance vibrant colours, light and textures. Her love of the Irish countryside is evident in all of her work in particular areas around her native County Clare. Her style could be described as a dry paint technique with a nod towards the quirky and colourful.
