Vu Gorgia

Vu Gorgia is an Oriental self-taught  artist living in the West Clare. She was born  and grew up in a small fishing village in Asia. In her childhood there was an art gallery a short distance away from where she use to reside, she hanged around with mature artists after school exchanging ideas gaining valuable tips. As time passed by the galleries and museums in the area faded away ,she had to teach herself, she started by pencil sketching and water colours since very young ages.
Since 2015 she moved to Ireland and resides in West Clare“ a land of storms” surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean which is wild always but also very calm and gentle sometimes. In summer everything transformed to stunning scene with colourful flowers and wild life. Sunset there is giant and hypnotic with red and  purple pink sky.

She gets inspired by colours and the beauty of nature in daily life. Capture of a moment frozen in time was transferred onto her canvas.
Vu Gorgia does portraits sometimes when she meets special people she can see deep in their soul the drama or the beauty of kindness and love.
Grateful to her husband who revived the passion inside her, she started painting again, mostly  by charcoal and acrylic,
