Martyna Kaczmarek
Over the last few years, my art has been changing dramatically from fantastic themes to that which focuses on nature and its protection. My art is a reflection of my search for meaning and purpose and in that, the purpose found; Which is art for nature conservation.
Currently, my art is greatly inspired by wildlife, nature, and the landscape. I express this through botanical and zoological studies as well as oil paintings which I base on collages, found photographs as well as photographs taken on my adventures around Ireland and Europe.
My art explores our relationship with the environment - it aims to showcase its beauty, inform the audience about the plants and animals that are native to Europe and beyond, as well as to advocate for nature protection and conservation.
I am currently using my art to fundraise money for wildlife rehabilitation and rescue in Ireland and I aim to direct my Phd project towards Art for Nature Conservation.
