Description

This is an oil on canvas painting of a stream in Massy Woods, near the Hellfire Club in Dublin.
It’s based on a pic I took there late afternoon last August. I had previously painted a landscape version of the same subject matter but I was always curious to see how it would look in portrait format. So I did this version and I think it works well.

The technique is a combination of pallette knife and paintbrush in a loose impressionistic style.
