Description
This piece captures the quiet, reflective mood of O’Connell Street on a rainy January day in Dublin. Painted primarily with a palette knife, the layered textures and muted tones evoke the damp chill of the season while the glints of light on the wet pavement guide the eye through the scene. My intention was to immerse the viewer in the moment — to feel the atmosphere of the city and its quiet movement, as if standing there among the figures.
The view is looking north towards the Ambassador theatre and the Parnell monument.
