Description
There’s something unapologetically joyful about peonies. They’re full of softness and abundance, like summer spilling over itself in full bloom. I wanted this piece to capture that lushness, that almost-too-muchness of their petals—especially when they’re bursting out of a simple glass jar like they don’t even realise how dramatic they are. The white one sneaked in, like the quiet friend in a loud crowd, anchoring all that pink with its calm and poise. I painted this bouquet from memory and a bit of longing—for warmth, for that familiar feeling of sunlit days and petals falling before you’re ready to say goodbye.
