I am an artist and therapist working at the crossroads of creativity, psychology, and transformation. Holding a Level 8 qualification in Jungian Psychology with Art Therapy from the Limerick School of Art and Design, I create work that draws deeply from the unconscious, using art as a tool for healing and integration.

My practice is guided by the ancient framework of the seven stages of alchemy — Calcination, Dissolution, Separation, Conjunction, Fermentation, Distillation, and Coagulation — each becoming both a creative process and an inner journey. In the studio, these stages unfold through colour, texture, and symbolic form; in therapy, they mirror the steps of personal transformation, shadow integration, and self-realisation.

Through my art therapy sessions, I hold space for others to navigate these same archetypal passages — uncovering what has been hidden, transforming what has been painful, and creating something whole from what was once fragmented.

My work is an offering to those drawn to depth, symbolism, and the alchemical power of creativity — a place where the personal and the mythical merge, and where art becomes the vessel for change.

Description

Mixed media on canvas, created during deep shadow work

This piece was born from an intensive period of shadow work, during which I confronted and integrated aspects of my demonic animus — the darker, distorted masculine within. Through this process, I began to heal my relationship with the masculine both internally and externally, which in turn allowed my inner strong feminine to emerge, flourish, and take form.

The figure stands as a symbol of duality — light and dark, horned and winged, sensual yet fierce. Painted in stark black and white tones, she reflects the yin-yang nature of the psyche: the balance of opposing forces, the harmony that can only come from integrating the rejected, unseen, or feared parts of the self. Her tears are not of weakness but of transformation — the grief and release that come with deep healing.

She embodies boundaries, power, and self-recognition. No longer fragmented, she is whole. The wings on one side represent liberation, while the horns signify primal strength and inner knowing. Naked and unashamed, she claims space unapologetically — sensual, sovereign, and sacred.

This painting is not just an artwork; it is a visual ritual, a threshold guardian, and a testament to the strength that comes from descending into the underworld and returning reborn.
