Hi I'm Jacqui

I'm 45 I've 3 kids ( adult kids) jess 24, Ellie 20 and Charlie 15. They are my world.

My love and connection for art started as a child. My uncle drew Disney characters for me and on my schoolbag and books which fascinated me and I just loved colours and mixing colours and designing clothes . I have ADHD but was only dignosed age 32, even though I quite a high IQ anything creative epically sketching and painting brings me peace.

In secondary school I didvery well in art and aspired to be an art teacher but unfortunately my inability to focus in other subjects frustrated me even though I passed art with honours I gave up on some other subjects and went on to do sports science I'm college.

After my 2nd child was born I wanted to work for myself so I could wrap my job around my kid's.  I'd always did my friends makeup and loved the use of light and shade , being able to transform their faces so I went on to become a makeup artist then further to become a 3rd level Tutor in makeup , theatrical makeup and special effects, I've work on a lot of irish movies,irish TV and runway l became very successful at my craft.

Then covid hit and the makeup industry plummeted,  after covid I became quiet anxious and went through bouts of depression,during this time I found art again. I got through hard times and insomnia and found peace in painting and sketching.

Which brings me here today. My eldest daughter convinced me my paintings and the time love and devotion I put into them were worth selling. I got accepted but Art4you as an artist after sending in an example of my work so u could say right now I living my childhood dream, if you guys do like my work and consider buying.

I generally use acrylic on canvas but do have have charcoal work. Even as a makeup artist I always had my own style which I prevalent in my art also.
