Description
‘The Mountain Top Stones’, oil on board is a small panoramic landscape from summer 2019. It represents a point where I completely lost my bearings somewhere on the top of Mamore Hill while pursuing a ‘shortcut’ which turned into quite an adventure. Well, thats what a painter is supposed to do after all-lose himself in the landscape. I was greatly impressed with the sprawling horizon, the sweeping contours of the distant valley and those scattered gleaming white rocks embedded tombstone-like in the barren terrain. Along with the superb 360 degree panoramic view. it also had an other-worldly appearance that appealed to me.
