Study of a felled walnut tree, tragically br0ught down in a storm. From a painting I started a couple of years ago, then set aside for a while. I decided to rework it recently. For me paintings are never finished, just paused. I might revisit them or just leave them alone if I want to try something else. Of course, when they are sold they’re gone and that marks the end of the process. So the buyer is purchasing a moment in time.
